Meet Jared

How long have you been coming to Lagree MT?

I started coming in Oct of 2020...life was very full of covid rules, especially when it came to gyms and exercise facilities. It was memorable because there were plenty of days where it was just me and either Dan, Sterling, or OG Chloe R! These "private" classes allowed me to refine my knowledge of the movements and understand where to find the shake in all of them.  

How has Lagree MT made a positive impact on your life?

It's amazing how a seemingly short 45min can destroy my stress, power my mood, and get me to a zen state. 

What is your favorite Lagree move?

Legs > Runners lunge: When you're doing this move right, not only is your working/platform quad/leg on absolute fire and shaking, but the carriage leg is also under extreme duress...but you're REALLY in it when your core lights up on top of it!

Core/Obliques > Scrambled eggs: It took a lot of time to find the right position in this move. Now it strikes fear in me (and my total core) when called

What's your Why? (Why do you workout and keep coming back for more?)

Ultimately, Lagree supports my (as Dan likes to call it) X-games lifestyle. I pedal (mountain and gravel) a ton in the warm months and participate in three skiing disciplines in the cold ones. The muscles Lagree helps me build and maintain power my outdoor adventures with little concern for going too high or too far. 

Why do you choose Lagree MT over another workout?

I hold myself accountable in those 45min and try to find a shake in every move, which requires tremendous focus and produces the best results, but also... Dan...it's really all about Dan!

Fun Fact

I am one of three Jared Smith's in Missoula (that I'm aware of). I've met and MTB raced with one and received a check from the city for the other (returned the check)
