Loves keeping her body strong and back happy, while not putting her body at risk of serious injury

Meet Mary

How long have you been coming to Lagree MT?

I believe I started Lagree in April or May of 2021. I remember feeling so sore after my first few classes that I couldn't lift my arms up to wash my hair in the shower. It is hilarious to think back on that now.

What is your favorite Lagree move?

I love doing anything at the back of the machine. A lot of stuff at the back is a bit harder and apparently I'm a sucker for punishment. I also love side torso crunches because the stretch that you get while you are simultaneously working your obliques feels awesome.

What's your Why? (Why do you workout and keep coming back for more?)

I have a bad back and I've found that by strengthening all of the muscles that support/surround my back (glutes, abs, etc), I am able to keep my back much happier! Every other form of exercise has eventually led to injury. Lagree is the only form of fitness I have found that continues to challenge me while also not putting my body at risk of serious injury. I actually feel like Lagree has helped prevent a lot of potential injuries. And it just feels good to be strong. It is a very empowering feeling....so I keep coming back because I want to keep getting stronger/maintain my strength.

How has Lagree MT made a positive impact on your life?

I have made some amazing friends! I'm also stronger than I have ever been in my life. It is funny to think back on the hours I used to spend at the gym. I would dread going to the gym. I spent so much time running on treadmills and never saw the positive physical changes that I see from going to Lagree 3-5 days a week.

Fun Fact

Mary is my legal name, but for my entire life I've actually gone by Molli. It is funny because somehow I've always been "Mary" at Lagree. I feel like I lead a double life! Oh and once in a while I work as an actor. I just left town for 2 months to be in a show at the Seattle Children's Theatre.
