Meet Sue

How long have you been coming to Lagree MT?

I have been coming to Lagree since March of this year. I have attended 70 classes!

What’s Your Why?
(Why do you workout and keep coming back for more?)

My “Why” is to feel stronger, look better and to have the strength and flexibility to get down on the floor to play with our youngest grandson and of course to be able to get back up, lol!

Why do you choose Lagree MT over another workout?

My wife and I were looking for an exercise class that we could do together and when she suggested Lagree I said I would try it without knowing ANYTHING about it. When I saw the sign "Embrace the Shake" I thought we were going to dance and somehow incorporate the machines. I soon learned what the Shake was. But we were hooked and have never looked back. For me the low impact has been a life saver (I will never do high impact again!) and Daniel and Chloe are amazing teachers who make the classes fun and they both like to laugh which I love.

Sue, with her wife Laurie, riding Going to the Sun road this year. It was Sue’s first time and she did it without training thanks to Lagree!

What is your favorite Lagree move?

My favorite Lagree move is the Catfish because it feels like I am floating and because I can't believe that I am strong enough to do it! I am amazed at myself everytime!

How has Lagree MT made a positive impact on your life?

Doing the Lagree classes has increased my confidence in what my body can do at age 65 whether it is playing on the floor or cross country skiing I feel stronger and more sure of myself. I have been so impressed with my abs and obliques that I keep telling friends and family to feel them. I am not sure if they are as impressed as I am but they do seem surprised. At my last doctor's visit I told her to feel my obliques and after expressing surprise she said "I am going to call you Sue "Abs of Steel" Ellerman from now on!

Fun Fact

An interesting fact about me is that I am a native ASL signer. My parents were deaf so ASL was my first language.
