How did you find Lagree MT?
Chelsey: We met Dan and Tina through mutual friends literally years before trying Lagree, Dan explained how to get started many times but it sounded so intimidating. I finally took the plunge with Tina herself and a couple other girlfriends because we made brunch plans for after. That first class was TOUGH and I was SO sore the next day. I demanded Tanner try a class with me so he could see how hard it was and I was absolutely hooked after that second class. The rest is history!
Tanner: We were consistently told by our friends at summer BBQs who own a Lagree studio that we should try it for at least 2 years before we did it, but man were we missing out.
How has Lagree MT made a positive impact on your life?
Chelsey: Lagree MT has been a game changer for me. I’ve seen physical changes but the most impactful shift has been reprioritizing myself and my self-care over other things (work, kid stuff, chores, etc.) that had been top priority for years prior. I’m finding when I prioritize taking care of myself, everything else is smoother and more joyful. And Lagree makes it fun and easy for me to get my self-care in!
Tanner: I never considered myself a “core” person. In fact, I resented those who would do core work. Now…I’m that guy.
What is your favorite Lagree move?
Chelsey: Standing Inner Thighs - it’s hard but I can also catch my breath for a minute (or 90 seconds). A little active recovery breather that I can still always find my shakes in.
Tanner: Tricep Dips, Kneeling Reverse Crunch, and Side Crunches
What's your Why? (Why do you workout and keep coming back for more?)
Chelsey: Physical health is mental health for me, and movement has a direct impact on my mood, mental clarity, outlook on life, and efficiency in all other areas of my life.
Tanner: To stay healthy and help combat Father Time. And so I can be an absolute unit to any boy that wants to date my daughters.
Why do you choose Lagree MT over another workout?
Chelsey: I have tried EVERYTHING, and still run regularly (even the occasional marathon!), but Lagree is the only workout I can get completely lost in and don’t think about anything else during. Like a little brain/thought vacation, a mental massage, and meditation all in one. Its one of the few workouts I don’t get injured during, and have found myself getting injured less outside of class which I think is a direct result of the low-impact strength training.
Tanner: I don’t. I combine it with my active rest days and super set it with weight training.
Fun Fact
Chelsey: I’m a mom of 3 (plus 2 dogs) and work full time. Tanner and I met in LA and lived there together for 12 years before moving here (he’s from Montana originally and went to school at UofM!). We love it here and Lagree helps me get out of the house more during the work week where I normally isolate at home.
Tanner: I am a SAG-AFTRA actor and in a Lego commercial. I lost 70 lbs in 2024.
