Our 90 Day Challenge WINNER is stronger, more disciplined, and just plain happier

Meet Nelli

How did you find Lagree MT?

I went to a health and wellness resort in Scottsdale where I got to try new workout classes every day—like aerial yoga, TRX, and spin. I enjoyed the variety and how energized I felt after each one, and I knew I wanted to bring that same kind of movement into my everyday life when I got home. I googled fitness classes in Missoula, and Lagree MT popped up first. I saw that the first class was free, so I signed up—and I’ve been hooked ever since!

What is your favorite Lagree move?

My favorite move is the squat on one yellow spring. I love how I can dial up the intensity and how small adjustments can shift the work to focus more on my glutes or quads. It’s super customizable, which keeps it interesting.

That said, Daniel definitely ups the challenge—when he says, “In five seconds, meet at your halfway point,” I know I’m about to hit that signature Lagree shake!

What's your Why? (Why do you workout and keep coming back for more?)

I love the 6 AM hour—it’s quiet, it’s mine, and it happens before the rest of the world wakes up. Lagree has become part of my daily routine, and I genuinely look forward to it. I like that it’s hard and leaves me feeling tired in the best possible way. I keep coming back because I’ve seen the results: I’m stronger, more disciplined, and just plain happier.

Another big reason is my family. All of my children are incredible athletes—college basketball players, state champions, multi-sport competitors. I was never really into sports growing up, and only dabbled in working out as an adult. But now at 46 years old, I feel like I can relate to them more. We work out together, play pickleball, golf—it’s created a new kind of connection, and that’s been really special for me.

How has Lagree MT made a positive impact on your life?

Lagree has taught me that hard work really does pay off. I’ve never been this strong in my life. When I first started, I could barely hold a pose and felt like my core was nonexistent. Now, almost two years in, I can see what consistency can do—and I feel it too. I have more confidence, better endurance, and I honestly love how I feel and look in my clothes. It’s been a total transformation, inside and out. And honestly, if I can push through a tough Lagree move and hold it for a full minute, I know I can handle anything else hard that life throws my way.

Why do you choose Lagree MT over another workout?

I choose Lagree because it’s really hard—but in a way that feels manageable. It’s not about getting your heart rate through the roof or leaving drenched in sweat; it’s about deep, controlled movements that make you shake and struggle to get through each minute. I actually like waking up sore the next day—it’s a reminder that I pushed myself. And more than anything, I can see my body changing, which keeps me coming back.

You just won the Lagree MT 2025 90 Day Challenge - how did you tackle it? Any insights to your effective strategy?

Funny enough, I actually signed up for the 90 Day Challenge last year without a real plan—and by the end of the 90 days, not much had changed (lesson learned!). This year, I went into it differently. I wanted to really challenge myself and see what I was capable of. I started prepping mentally the week before, and after talking with some family members and hearing Daniel mention how Lagree can complement other training, I decided to add weightlifting three times a week alongside my regular Lagree classes.

I also cut out sugar, alcohol, and processed foods completely. That first week without my usual sweet treats was rough, but once I noticed my belly going down and just feeling lighter overall, it became easier. I ended up making the Lagree pancake recipe (with oatmeal, egg whites, and cottage cheese) every single day for breakfast—it became my go-to!

Eating clean actually made my Lagree workouts even better. I felt more energized, lighter, and stronger. I also made it a goal to hit 10,000 steps a day, which meant daily walks—outside on ice or on the treadmill.

It all started to snowball. By week 4, I was feeling and seeing the results, and that progress just fueled my motivation even more to finished the 8 weeks. Putting in the real, hard work paid off—and it felt amazing.

Fun Fact

I’m a local business owner, mama of eight—five of whom are now adults—and soon-to-be grandma to four grandbabies! I’m so excited about this next chapter—chasing around little ones and feeling strong and ready for whatever comes next. I recently picked up golfing and I’m looking forward to getting even stronger as I age. Bring on the adventures!
